One random day in August of 2024 my friend, Lisa Handler Doherty (Handy), sent me a TikTok video with a quick note that said...."you should make these".  It was a very short tutorial on how to decoupage an oyster shell into a ring dish.

The next week she showed up at my doorstep with a bucket of oyster shells ready to be cleaned and decorated. Yikes...I had to get to work.

After watching numerous youtube and tiktok videos, then making and failing miserably at my first 100 shells....I kept at it.  I got better and better at practicing the craft of decoupage on these oyster shells.  I soon found myself (and our home) bursting with tons of decorated shells. 

My amazing husband, while 1000% supportive but also practical, said "Bunnie you need to start giving away or selling these shells....or else we will have to build a wing onto the house."

And such Coast and Canyon Shop was born.
